Pulling the shoot to rebrand your biz can feel like a terrifying task. I should know- I just went there. Yes I sure did. I’m not talking about a logo redesign (which if you are thinking of doing a rebrand – please remember your BRAND is more than just your LOGO).
Now there are many many reasons why a personal brand might want to rebrand & in my case it was because I felt misrepresented. The connection between myself & my brand was broken or maybe it was never really ever connected. Either way it doesn’t matter. What does matter is the fact that the disconnection was obvious & was effecting my overall biz.
So if you feel like this is starting to sound like you & your brand don’t worry it IS possible to dig in & find the real connection.
I took some serious action & the first thing I did was hire an official branding team. Experts in various areas that would help solidify my authentic brand. The team consisted of a mindset coach, money expert, strategy maven, copy righter and organizational ninja. Everything I needed to come at me & my brand from every angle.
The process was an authentic unapologetic dose of truth that ended up birthing my new brand. Three intensive days that gave a 360 degree look.
Once the roots of my brand were discovered it was time for me to do my part & design the visuals that would tell my story & define my brand personality. Visuals that where unique to me & supported the story of who I am as a personal brand & call in my ideal clients.
Here’s a snapshot of the Original Kreative rebrand…
A Mood Board is a tool I use when creating the visuals for a brand. I have a whole post dedicated to the Mood Board and you can read about it here. I love my Mood Board so much. It is without a doubt and extension of who I am. The Mood Board also creates your brand color palette which is a very important part of any brand & the support is offers a brand is priceless.
My brand colors are a mix of gritty & feminine.
Logo design is such an incredibly exciting time in the whole brand styling process. I like to think of a logo as your brand handshake in the world. It’s really important that it’s memorable & screams YOU.
My brand is strong, borderline offensive with a drizzle of feminine. I knew my logo needed to be the perfect blend of all three of these.
Brand elements offer support to the overall brand design. This is a great place to get creative & push the design. My brand elements are fun & bold. These are a few of the elements that I use quite a bit throughout my brand design. I love using lighting bolts with glitter & I use lips has a way to add bold femininity.
Brand photography is a must with any brand. You can’t have 95% of your brand on point & then it all falls apart because of crap brand photography. I always want mine to have an edgy feel with moody tones.
I hope you enjoyed the little sneak peek at Original Kreative’s rebrand. Don’t forget to hit me up on social to stay connected and see more of OK’s brand identity.
